Beginning June 26th, 2013, the email address saved to your Wisc.Jobs job cart will be your username in Wisc.Jobs. Every user will need to have a unique email address and password to log in to their job cart. Your password will not be affected.
After June 26th, you will not be able to log in to your Wisc.Jobs account without an email address.
What does this mean?
For most Wisc.Jobs users, this change will not substantially impact you. When logging into your account in Wisc.Jobs, instead of entering your username in the "username" field, you will be prompted to enter your email address. You will continue to use the password you initially set up for your account.
What if I don't have an email address?
Prior to June 26th, you need to sign up for an email address and then log in to your job cart on Wisc.Jobs and enter your email address in the Personal Information section.
There are several providers that offer free email accounts. Links to a few of these are included below:
How do I add or update my email address in my job cart?
To update your email address in your job cart, go to http://wisc.jobs and click on the yellow button at the top of the page that says "My Job Cart". Prior to June 26th, enter your username and password, then press "Log In". This will take you to your job cart. From your job cart, click on the box that says "Update Personal Information" on the right. From here you can add an email address, update your email address or update any other contact information.
What happens if I don't have an email address in my job cart by June 26th, 2013?
Once this new login process is implemented on June 26th, if you do not have an email address in your job cart, you will not be able to access your job cart, and you will not be able to create a new job cart in Wisc.Jobs. If this happens, you will need to contact the Wisc.Jobs help desk to add your email address to your job cart in order for you to log in.
What if I share an email address with another person, and that person also has an account on Wisc.Jobs?
Prior to June 26th, every Wisc.Jobs user will need to ensure their individual account has a unique email address assigned to it, and no one else's. If multiple accounts have the same email address listed in them, the users of those accounts will not be able to log in to them after June 26th without contacting the Wisc.Jobs helpdesk.
