We are seeking RN's to work in limited term employment positions* at multiple institutions. *Temporary jobs are referred to as limited term employment (LTE). While limited term employment does not automatically lead to or enjoy the same benefits as permanent employment, these positions provide valuable work experience and an opportunity to explore different permanent job and career options at the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

The Department of Corrections administers Wisconsin’s state prisons, community correctional centers, and juvenile corrections programs. It supervises the custody and discipline of all prisoners in order to protect the public and seeks to rehabilitate offenders and reintegrate them into society. Job Duties: This position is responsible for providing skilled nursing care to offenders in both ambulatory and infirmary settings; providing patient assessment and treatment; assisting physicians in providing medical services; managing medications, providing emergency care; and maintaining medical records.Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application. The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting. Applicants must be a Wisconsin resident to apply for this position.
