Salary:
The starting pay is between $147,890 and $192,256 per year (full-time), plus excellent benefits. NOTE: Under certain circumstances, qualified individuals may earn additional supplemental pay up to $44,411 per year for Board Certification or up to $14,824 per year for Board Certification Eligibility. The pay schedule/range is 10-52. A six-month probationary period is required.
Special Qualifications:
Possession of a license to practice Medicine in the State of Wisconsin or the ability to obtain the license prior to appointment, plus a minimum of 3 years in an approved residency in Psychiatry. The Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Long Term Care (DLTC) and Division of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services (DMH&SAS) is continuously accepting applications for these positions at the institutes and/or centers indicated. NOTE: Vacancies may or may not be available at the time of your application. Positions may be full-time or part-time. The vacancies may be located at Mendota Mental Health Institute (MMHI), Madison (Dane County), Central Wisconsin Center for the Developmentally Disabled (CWC), Madison (Dane County), Winnebago Mental Health Institute (WMHI), Winnebago (Winnebago County), and/or Wisconsin Resource Center (WRC), Winnebago (Winnebago County). Job Duties:   Provide medical/psychiatric care and treatment to institution patients; prescribe medications; direct psychiatric treatment; and write physician orders.

Special Notes:   Due to the nature of the position, all applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow the Department of Health Services to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:   Diagnosis and clinical treatment of patients.
