Due to the nature of the position, a background check will be conducted prior to offer of hire.Well qualified candidates will have a minimum of a four year college degree in Business Administration; Fair Industry Management, Agriculture Business, Marketing or similar field, additional degree(s) including MBA preferred.Five to eight years of management and supervisory experience required.Proven leadership with emphasis in strategic planning is essential. Previous experience in government structure and fair industry strongly preferred. Knowledge of the agriculture industry and marketing beneficial.
Ability to manage preparation and provide direct oversight of budgetary and financial operations; exceptional communication and organizational skills; analytical and strategic planning experience; strong understanding of state government structure and process; and ability to work with the agency’s diverse staff and Board of Directors.
