Corrections, Department of IS Systems Development Services - Specialist - Business ConsultantJob Announcement Code(s): 09-03076
These positions function as a consultant in one or more DOC Divisions in support of division and department program needs as related to IT. These positions have a central role in understanding the division, bureau and program area business needs, incorporating this understanding into a division and enterprise perspective, providing this perspective as input into the shaping of the enterprise IT services, and connecting enterprise IT resources to the bureau and program area business functions. The scope and latitude of activities associated with this position are very broad. These positions provide consulting expertise in coordinating the resolution of IT issues and decisions in a business context. It requires extensive knowledge and expertise in business process analysis, information systems, project management, and the role of current state-of-the-art information technology in business areas. The communication and business partnership building activities of these positions cross the cultures of the divisions various business areas as well as the enterprise IT culture. Interaction with staff and personnel from all organizational levels and areas of expertise from within and outside of the department is an essential component of these positions . Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application. No contracts. The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
