The Department of Corrections administers Wisconsin’s state prisons, community correctional centers, and juvenile corrections programs. It supervises the custody and discipline of all prisoners in order to protect the public and seeks to rehabilitate offenders and reintegrate them into society. The Department of Corrections (DOC); Division of Management Services (DMS); Bureau of Technology Management (BTM), central office at 3099 E. Washington Ave, Madison, WI located on Madison’s east side with easy access and on-site parking.
Job Duties:
This position has a central role in understanding the division, bureau and business needs of the DOC and incorporating this understanding into the development and implementation of new applications and enhancements to legacy applications at the DOC. This position provides expertise in coordinating the resolution of IT issues and decisions in a business context; it requires knowledge and expertise in business process analysis, information systems, project management and state-of the art information technology in business areas. Interaction with staff and personnel from all organization levels and areas of expertise from within the department will be an essential part of this position. Communication and building business partner relationships between the business units and IT is a key function. This position also analyzes user needs, prepares business requirements documents and specifications; and designs, tests, and implements application components into production according to established standards.
