The University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee (UWM), Division of Student Affairs - Student Union Operations is currently seeking a Buildings/Grounds Supervisor. Highly qualified applicants will also possess knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); fire alarm systems; and elevator maintenance. This position requires a person who is organized, dependable, professional, and able to communicate effectively with vendors, staff, and other diverse groups of people. Applicants must have the ability to read and understand complex instructions as well as the ability to write clearly. The supervision of full-time maintenance mechanics is a vital component of this position. To that end, qualified candidates will possess skills in hiring, evaluating, training, coaching, and disciplining employees within a union-represented environment.
