Type of Employment:	Full Time (40 hrs/week)
Salary:	Pay will be determined in accordance with the pay provisions of the professional social services bargaining unit at the time of appointment. The minimum starting pay is $52,621 per year, plus excellent benefits. The pay schedule/range is 12-10. A 6-month probationary period will be required. This position is included in the professional social services bargaining unit.
Special Qualifications:	Candidates will have professional level experience in a criminal justice, correctional, or law enforcement environment to include assessing, evaluating, fact finding, and decision making.

The Department of Corrections administers Wisconsin’s state prisons, community correctional centers, and juvenile corrections programs. It supervises the custody and discipline of all prisoners in order to protect the public and seeks to rehabilitate offenders and reintegrate them into society. The Department of Corrections (DOC); Earned Release Review Commission (ERRC); has vacancies with institution assignments in various locations across the state. The DOC central office is located at 3099 E. Washington Ave. Madison, WI with easy access and on-site parking.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:   The individual in this position should have a high level of knowledge of adult institution management, security and treatment policies, program review procedures and methods; interpreting and applying the statutes and administrative rules pertaining to adult inmates, probation and parole offenders, and intensive sanctions offenders; human behavior and causative factors related to crime and criminal behavior; community resources, resource development procedures and correctional safeguards and controls to provide a safe community environment for citizens and offenders; public relations and techniques in order to deal effectively with public agencies, organizations, victims and their families, and offenders and their families.
