The Department of Transportation (DOT)/Division of Transportation Investment Management/Bureau of Transit, Local Roads, Railroads, and Harbors is currently recruiting for a Program & Policy Analyst for a limited term employment (LTE) opportunity.

Job Duties:   This position provides research, analysis and evaluation for the Safe Routes to School and other related federal aid programs. Primary responsibilities include development and distribution of program information and materials, staffing program selection and review committees, analyzing program and project data, and general program administration.

Special Notes:   Prior to any appointments for position(s) filled from this announcement, candidates may be subject to a comprehensive criminal background check, which may include fingerprinting. The position will be 40 hours per week with a flexible schedule.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:   

Considerable knowledge of policy development and program management

Skills to implement and manage sound communication strategies

Considerable knowledge of Microsoft products including Windows, Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint
