The starting salary will be between $16.902 and $27.889 per hour depending upon qualifications. This classification is assigned to Pay Schedule/Pay Range 07-04. Employees in project positions are eligible for benefits.

This position will work withmajor policy and program development involving the following electricity-related topical areas stimulated by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA): Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy, Energy Storage, Smart Grid, Plug-in Electric Vehicles, Demand Response, Coal with Carbon Capture and Storage, and Transmission. This position will assist with the planning, development, enforcement and evaluation of programs and policies that address the above-mentioned electricity-related topical areas.This position will research and review current regional and national trends, analyze and process utility proposals and plans, and participate in rulings and proceedings, to help facilitate the timely consideration of ARRA-related regulatory actions.Additionally, this position will provide responses to oral and written complaints and inquiries, which require formulation of proposed policy and interpretation of Commission-approved policies, orders and rules.
This is a Project Position scheduled up to December 31, 2011.Due to the nature of the position,applicant who is appointed to this position will undergo a criminal background check.Applicant who is appointed to this position must be a Wisconsin resident.Occasional travel is required.
