Starting pay is between $72,800 and $90,209 annually ($35.00-$43.37 per hour). Employees with an active Professional Engineer license are eligible for $1.00 add-on. Pay upon appointment for current or former state employees may vary based on provisions in the State Compensation Plan. This position is in pay schedule and range 81-02. This position is responsible for the supervision and implementation of the Air Management Program within the Environmental Management Division, for integrating activities within this program within the assigned geographic area and for integration among those programs and all other DNR programs within the assigned geographic area. This position is responsible for directing and implementing all aspects of the Air Management Program.
This position is also responsible for developing, directing, coaching, mentoring and supervising permanent and limited-term staff. This position serves on the Air Management Program Management Team and is expected to be an active contributor. Customer and partner groups may include local governments, businesses, consulting firms, manufacturing industries, non-profit organizations, tribal governments, DNR staff, citizens and other government and educational representatives. This position reports to the Air Management Program Field Operations Director and directly supervises professional and technical staff in their implementation of the Air Management Program in the assigned geographic area.
