The Department of Natural Resources is hiring an Executive Staff Assistant stationed at the Rhinelander Service Center.

This appointment will consist of 2 LTE positions (20 hours/week), allowing the candidate who is hired to work full time (40 hours/week). The position summary for each Executive Staff Assistant (ESA) position can be found below.
For approximately 50% of the time, the ESA will provide programmatic coordination for the Division Administrators. This includes coordinating the flow of incoming and outgoing correspondence between staff, inter and intra-agency staff and outside agencies, coordinating appointment calendars, schedule meetings and resolving meeting conflicts, providing back-up phone coverage, handling situations and directing critical questions and issues to appropriate staff, and handling confidential and sensitive documents. For the remaining 50%, the ESA will provide programmatic coordination for the Division of Forestry. This involves serving as the Division's coordinator for the business functions as well as providing staff support and guidance on Department and Division business systems. This is a limited term (LTE) position. Limited term positions do not automatically lead to or enjoy the same benefits as permanent employment, but this position does offer valuable work experience and an opportunity to learn more about career opportunities with the Department of Natural Resources and the State of Wisconsin. LTE employees are limited to working 1039 hours within a twelve-month period. In order to be considered for this position, you must be a resident of the State of Wisconsin.
Employment will require the selected candidate to pass a background check. DNR does not sponsor work visas, thus, in compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire.
