Candidate must possess a license to practice medicine in the State of Wisconsin or the ability to obtain the license prior to appointment. Candidate must have completed an approved residency in psychiatry, family practice or internal medicine. The Medical Consultant will provide treatment in an institutional setting in collaboration with a Multidisciplinary Treatment Team and will adhere to the American Medical Association Standards of Care following the AMA Medical Code of Ethics, Wisconsin Administrative Code, Mental Health act statutes, Department and Division policies.
Due to the nature of the position, all applicants who may be appointed will be required to allow DHS to conduct a security background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
