Starting pay is $16.67 per hour ($34,673.60 annually). Pay on appointment for current or former state employees may vary based on the applicable provisions in the State Compensation Plan. This position is in Pay Schedule/Range 02-12.

This person will provide program support for the regional Drinking Water and Groundwater program in the administration of the rules and policies of the Safe Drinking Water Act. This position provides first-line contact for the public requiring detailed knowledge of administrative codes and federal rules as they pertain to water supply systems. Duties include interpreting results and reports for Total Coliform Rule (bacteriological) and water chemistry monitoring; identifying violations on results or reports and the action necessary to correct violations; initiating first response to water system owners or operators when unsafe conditions occur; and directing and guiding public notification requirements.
