The Department of Natural Resources is hiring multiple Limited Term and Seasonal positions stationed throughout the state of Wisconsin!

The DNR is an inclusive, diverse agency that prides itself on commitment to sustainability and giving back to the community by participating in fund raisers for charities. Come join the Department of Natural Resources where you can contribute to rewarding and meaningful work!

Position Summary:

For a complete list of current LTE opportunities, please visit the Limited Term Job Openings page on the DNR's website. If you have specific questions about our positions or vacancies, please refer to the individual job announcements for contact information.

Limited term jobs vary in duration and work hours may be full or part time depending on individual program needs, budgets, and seasonal demands. Wisconsin State Statutes limit each LTE position to no more than 1,039 hours of work within a twelve-month period. LTE positions may not be permanent however, some individuals have found the training and experience gained during limited term employment beneficial when competing for similar permanent civil service positions. Limited term jobs can be an important learning tool for career development. Students especially enjoy the flexibility offered through limited term jobs!

This is a limited term (LTE) position. Limited term positions do not automatically lead to or enjoy the same benefits as permanent employment, but this position does offer valuable work experience and an opportunity to learn more about career opportunities with the Department of Natural Resources and the State of Wisconsin. LTE employees are limited to working 1039 hours within a twelve-month period. In order to be considered for this position, you must be a resident of the State of Wisconsin.

Employment will require the selected candidate to pass a background check.  DNR does not sponsor work visas, thus, in compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire.

How To Apply:

Please refer to the individual job announcements for instructions on how to apply.
