The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs currently has a Limited Term Employment (LTE) position available for a Laundry Worker to provide support in our Laundry Department.

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for sorting, washing, and folding laundry; operating laundry-processing equipment; restocking bed and bath linens and returning all members personal items. This position will also maintain a clean work area.
Special Notes:
Must be able to lift and move laundry bags which can weigh up to 70 pounds, move laundry carts which can weigh 80 - 200 pounds and stand for prolonged periods of time.
Due to the nature of the position, WDVA will conduct criminal background checks prior to an offer of hire.
Employment in this position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) test.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (e.g., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without WDVA sponsorship) at the time of application.
Per Wisconsin Statute 230.26, Wisconsin residency is required for LTE appointments.
Qualifications:
Minimally qualified applicants will have the following experience:
- Manual labor (e.g., load, operate and unload washers and tumble dryers, fold clothing, fold linens, pick up laundry, sort laundry by color or type, bundle clothing, etc.)
