Starting pay is between $81,120 - $93,870 annually ($39.00 - $45.13 per hour). Pay on appointment for current or former state employees may vary based on the applicable provisions in the State Compensation Plan. This position is in Pay Schedule/Range 81-02. A 2 year career executive trial period may be required.

The main responsibility of this position is the management of the Department’s engineering and construction management program operations. This includes planning, directing and managing staff in the engineering and construction management section and coordinating all activities with section staff, department leadership, and staff within inter-department programs. This position will advise and lead these Department programs in the establishment and administration of integrated, long-range goals and objectives for the program and assist with the development of short and long range comprehensive project development plans.

Additionally, best-qualified applicants will have the following preferred skills: - Experience working on engineering and construction projects that are relevant to the work performed at the DNR (e.g. trails, recreational areas, parks, roads, sewers, septic systems, boat ramps, piers, small buildings, etc.) - Experience with Engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, or similar - Possession of Professional Engineer, Architect, or Landscape Architect license
