WMHI is a psychiatric hospital providing quality mental health services to children, adolescents and adults. The facility has a beautiful campus located on Lake Winnebago with adjacent walking paths by the lake for employees to use during break periods.
This position implements Individualized Treatment Plans, monitors and observes patient conditions, maintains patient records, and maintains the safety of the personnel and patients. This position will assist with maintaining a clean and safe environment, participate as a team member in patient treatment planning, and assist with orientating new patients and staff. Ongoing training/education related to patient care will be provided.
Due to the nature of these positions, all applicants who may be appointed will be required to allow the Department of Health Services to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
Individuals must be able to lift fifty pounds several times a day. In addition, individuals need to have the ability to perform complex motor skills and use specialized equipment. Prior to beginning employment, candidates selected must pass a physical abilities test and pre-employment health assessments, at the employer’s expense.
We are seeking candidates who are willing and available to work full-time during the summer months, and are available to work part-time hours once summer ends, or for students, when the school semester begins. We will also consider candidates who want to work part-time hours during the summer.
Candidate must be able to maintain a certified nursing assistant (CNA) certification with the State of Wisconsin.
