The Educational Communications Board (ECB) is a state agency which delivers educational, noncommercial and public safety media to the citizens of Wisconsin. The ECB is seeking a Media Telecommunications Technician (MTT) for our Field Engineering Team in the Green Bay area. This exciting position performs a wide variety of duties, including: The maintenance, test, and repair of broadcast systems. Monitoring electronic systems status, and performing routine preventive maintenance and services for our regional sites in Northeast Wisconsin.  For more information about ECB, visit our website.

Position Summary:   
Under supervision of the Regional Technical Manager, this position is responsible for construction, maintenance and repair support for a wide range of predominately high power Radio Frequency electronic equipment and systems for the ECB including DTV, Broadcast Interconnect, EAS, AMBER, FM, State/Federal All Hazards Radio, satellite downlink systems, and Wisconsin Public Radio facilities.  The Media Telecommunication Technician will be expected to progressively develop technical expertise in analysis, design, and modification of content distribution systems, media interconnect systems, and associated RF analog and digital program delivery and transmission monitoring equipment. Due to the nature of the position, ECB will conduct background checks on applicants prior to selection. ECB does not sponsor work visas. All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States, and to complete the required employment eligibility form.

Qualified applicants will have education, training, or experience in working on High power Radio Frequency (RF) systems, maintaining and/or repairing equipment related to broadcasting, including those related to distribution, transmission and remote control of television and radio distribution networks, and interpreting diagrams and electrical prints.

In addition, well-qualified applicants will have experience in compliance with broadcast regulations (e.g. FAA, FCC, or similar).
