The Department of Natural Resources is hiring a part time (20 hours/week) Customer Service Representative stationed at the Baldwin Service Center, Bureau of Customer and Outreach Services.

Position Summary:   

This Customer Service Representative position will be assigned the Baldwin Service Center. This is an office offering counter service to the general public from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Duties include providing counter service for walk-in customers such as selling hunting and/or fishing licenses through Go Wild, completing special permit and recreational vehicle application forms, selling Parks merchandise, and providing general information on DNR policies and programs to walk-in customers. This position will also participate in the statewide Call Center, answering general customer questions regarding DNR rules, regulations, and more!

Daily work hours would be from approximately 10:30AM to 2:30PM, for 20 hours/week.

Special Notes:   

This is a limited term (LTE) position. Limited term positions do not automatically lead to or enjoy the same benefits as permanent employment, but this position does offer valuable work experience and an opportunity to learn more about career opportunities with the Department of Natural Resources and the State of Wisconsin. LTE employees are limited to working 1039 hours within a twelve-month period. In order to be considered for this position, you must be a resident of the State of Wisconsin.

Employment will require the selected candidate to pass a background check.  DNR does not sponsor work visas, thus, in compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire.


Required qualifications include:
- Prior customer service experience (via phone, email, in person, etc.)
- Proficiency and experience with computers and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.)

Preferred qualifications include:
- Prior experience working in a Call Center
- Cash handling experience
- Experience interpreting and relaying complex information or policies
