Starting pay is between $75,504 and $80,267 annually ($36.30 - $38.59) per hour). depending on experience and qualifications. The Department of Natural Resourcesis hiring three (3) Area Wildlife Supervisor positions in the Natural Resources Area Supervisor classification within the Division of Fish, Wildlife, and Parks, Bureau of Wildlife Management. The office locations for these positions are: Black River Falls Service Center (Jackson County), Peshtigo Service Center (Marinette County), and Wisconsin Rapids Service Center (Wood County).

The Area Wildlife Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of area wildlife management team members and implementation of all aspects of the wildlife management program within the assigned area. The position in Wisconsin Rapids will also supervise lower level supervisors. The position ensures the integration of DNR programs (Natural Heritage Conservation, Forestry, Parks and Recreation Management and Law Enforcement) with the wildlife management program. The Area Wildlife Supervisor will monitor and enforce compliance with statutes, rules, handbooks, and other program policies. The position will also partner and seek additional partnership opportunities with non-departmental wildlife professionals.
Employment will require the selected candidate to pass a background check. DNR does not sponsor work visas, thus, in compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire.
