The starting salary is $12.24 per hour, plus excellent low cost benefits. This position is eligible for an additional $0.45 for hours worked between 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., and a weekend differential of $0.60 for hours worked from midnight Friday to midnight Sunday. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS); Winnebago Mental Health Institute(WMHI) is recruiting to fill multiple Custodian positions. Full time positions work primarily weekdays (Monday - Friday), daytime hours (6:00 am to 2:30 pm) but will be required to work once every 16th weekend. May require occasional early morning or evening work, some holidays, and possible overtime.
Part time positons work primarily weekdays (Monday - Friday), daytime hours (8:00 am to 4:30 pm.). Part time positons are .6 FTE (24 hours per week) but may require early morning or evening work, some holidays, and possibly working up to full time hours.

WMHI is a psychiatric hospital providing quality mental health services to children, adolescents and adults. The facility has a beautiful campus located on Lake Winnebago with adjacent walking paths by the lake for employees to use during break periods. The custodian is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks at WMHI. Duties include, but are not limited to: operating automatic cleaning equipment, such as automatic scrubbers, sweepers, and wall washers, wet/dry vacuums, and carpet cleaning equipment; stripping and sealing of floors; cleaning of toilets, showers and furniture; shoveling snow; and replacing light bulbs.

These positions have physical requirements which may include but are not limited to lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, sitting kneeling, climbing ladders, crawling, and stooping. Applicants may be required to pass a physical evaluation to assess these requirements.
All appointees will be required to receive a TB screening prior to their start date.
