Starting pay is between $52,736 and $87,017 per year (Specialist) $52,736 and $96,503 (Consultant) depending upon qualifications, plus excellent benefits. These positions are in pay schedule and pay range 07-02 and have a one year probationary period. These positions are included in the Fiscal and Staff Services Bargaining Unit. |

Must be able to travel to various locations within the state of Wisconsin (with likely overnight stays) to attend meetings and conferences. May require occasional out-of-state travel for conferences and meetings. |

University of Wisconsin - Madison, Division of Information Technology (DoIT), Applications Development & Integration Department (ADI), Employee Applications Group. The register established from this recruitment will be used to fill multiple vacancies at both the Specialist and Consultant/Administrator levels on the HRS Team. HRS Team: HRS (Human Resource System) is a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system for managing and standardizing human resource, benefits, and payroll functions across all University of Wisconsin campuses. About 65,000 faculty, staff, student workers, and administrators from all UW institutions are paid through this system. UW System will implement Oracle/PeopleSoft Human Capital Management, via the HRS Team. HRS is a multi-year project, and the HRS team will work at the UW System Service Center hosted on the UW-Madison campus. Provide leadership and technical expertise in support of the HRS Implementation with specific knowledge in one or more business process; and provide direction, management, and coordination of the assigned project team members and activities. Ensure that specific project goals are accomplished. There are five specialties: Team Leader: task management of medium-sized teams with fairly narrow foci, and working with overall project managers to coordinate and specify activities. Analyst: develop and maintain business requirements along with business operations staff, and work with testing team to develop test cases from use cases. Technical Lead: set and lead adoption of PeopleSoft, Java, and Business Intelligence technical standards, provide coaching and mentoring to other technical team members. Lead: task management of medium-sized sub-projects, or small-sized sub-teams, and working with overall project managers to coordinate and specify activities. Developer: lead coding and integration efforts within a team, and work with testing teams; Tester: develop test standards and lead and execute test plans. Special Notes:

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience in computing, Information Technology or related fields; designing, developing, enhancing, or maintaining ERP software (examples: PeopleSoft, SAP, Baan, Oracle E-Business/Financials); coding modifications using ERP programming tools; set-up/configuration and support of ERP systems, bolt-on applications, interfaces or related system services. Experience in business analysis (facilitation, elicitation and definition of business needs/requirements, use case creation, or high-level system design); leading ERP implementation or enhancement projects, including developing project plans, writing specifications, acquiring and maintaining working knowledge of customer business needs, or managing teams.
