Initial Assessment Specialist Exam Instructions:

ANSWERING THE QUESTIONS:  Answer each question separately in a complete and concise manner. In order to be as thorough as possible, please consider all of the factors cited in each question and provide any pertinent information that is relevant to the question and should be considered in determining your qualifications for this position. When describing your experience, training and/or education in response to each question, be sure to include your specific role and responsibility, its scope, duration and the specific nature of the duties. Use specific examples to clearly demonstrate your level of experience. It is important that your responses sufficiently describe your experience so that the job experts who will review and score your examination materials are able to make an accurate judgment regarding your experience, education and/or training. A response of “see resume” is not an acceptable answer.

RESPONSE LIMITATIONS: Your responses to each question should be limited to a maximum of the equivalent of a two (2) page word processing document, in no smaller than a 10 point font. Pages in excess of the specified limit will NOT be evaluated.

SAVING YOUR RESPONSES: We encourage you to prepare your answers first in a word processing document and then copy and paste using “Ctrl C” to copy and “Ctrl V” to paste or the cut and paste buttons on your browser. This will speed up your time in the exam and prevent lost answers. Do not use the right click function on your mouse to paste, as it may not save your answers.

When you are finished with each page of the exam, click the ‘Save and Continue’ button (bottom of the screen) to save your answers. If you do not click “Save and Continue” on each screen within 20 minutes, WiscJobs will time out and your answers will be lost.

When you are finished with the exam, click the ‘Save and Finalize’ button and at the exam summary window click the ‘Finalize’ button.

UPDATING YOUR RESPONSES: You can update your exam responses until the deadline date.  Note:  Anytime you enter the exam, you MUST click “Finalize” regardless of whether or not you changed your responses.

EXAM COMPLETION: After you have successfully completed and finalized your exam, you will receive an email confirmation (if you provided an email address on your Job Application page). If you do not receive an email, you may not have finished all of the steps correctly. Incomplete application materials will not be considered.

EVALUATION OF YOUR RESPONSES: After the deadline, your examination will be scored according to pre-determined benchmarks/evaluation criteria by job experts. Materials will be evaluated and the most qualified applicants will be invited to participate in the next step of the selection process. Please monitor your job cart for the updates to the examination process.
